Setting America’s Table  Past & Present focuses on ceramic, pottery and porcelain design.  The White House settings of Washington, Jackson, J.Q. Adams, Harrison, Monroe, Jefferson, Polk, Lincoln, Taylor, Madison, Grant and Pierce and Flowers of the First Ladies Louisa Adams, Caroline Harrison, Rachel Jackson, Martha Jefferson Randolph, Mary Todd Lincoln, Dolley Madison, Ida McKinley, Martha Washington, Frances Folsom Cleveland, Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, Florence Kling Harding, and Abigail Smith Adams.   The Brookfield Craft Center table represents the work of nine artists.

Tabletop of today is a reflection of both individual taste and national diversity.  Whether it is a grandparent’s treasured Rosenthal and Meissen, antique New Milford Lettuce Leaf majolica (collected by Jacqueline Kennedy) or the work of contemporary artists, it is a statement of personal style.  Become an artist by setting a table no one will forget.
